Ever since I can remember… I’ve been fascinated with crime stories. I think part of me knows it’s my fascination with psychology and trying to figure out the way people work. As a young kid I used to spend hours pouring over stories on crimelibrary.com. Some stories would hit me hard, many of which I will post about in this very blog. Others left me wide-eyed wanting more. As I grew up I started watching more and more crime shows. I’m not one for fiction crime shows, but I do enjoy a good non-fiction crime show, especially those with a twist. The first crime show I ever fell in love with: America’s Most Wanted. It’s a weekly ritual of mine.
In this blog you will find a variety of crime stories in the news. Some of the stories may not be exactly “new” news, but still very interesting news. In each entry I will analyze a psychological part of the case or similar cases. The more content I post to this blog, the more I’m sure I’ll learn. I just hope you decide to come along for the ride and learn a little something too!
I will be graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia in May 2011 with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in psychology.
